Ingredients

A complex of bioactive plasma proteins, minerals, and vitamins

Helps maintain normal immunity at the level of the intestinal mucosa, contributing to reducing the incidence of diarrhea.

Prebiotics FOS2,3 (Fructo-oligosaccharides) and MOS4 Mannan-oligosaccharides

They are non-digestible oligosaccharides derived from fructose (FOS) and mannose (MOS) that contribute to the consistency of the stools. They are also known to contribute to modulating the animal’s immune response. These non-digestible oligosaccharides derived from fructose (FOS) and mannose (MOS) contribute to stool consistency. Protein from Enterococcus faecium5,6

Protein source derived from probiotics that help rebalance the intestinal microflora by displacing pathogenic microorganisms and improving immune response.

Zinc7,8

Mineral that helps reduce the severity of acute and chronic diarrhea, protects cells from oxidative damage, and supports normal immune system function.

Selenium9,1

Helps regulate the functionality of cells responsible for innate immunity. Contributes to normal immune system function and protects cells from oxidative damage.

Protection against intestinal infection in dogs and cats

An active and essential component in protecting our digestive system from foreign bodies and external agents is the intestinal mucosa. Its main function is to prevent bacteria and other organisms from becoming systemic and causing issues in the gastrointestinal tract and the body.

Common intestinal infections in dogs and cats that affect the small intestine include:

  • Gastroenteritis: In dogs and cats, this is the inflammation of the stomach and small intestine caused by viruses or harmful substances. It leads to symptoms such as diarrhoea, vomiting, small amounts of blood in the faeces, and loss of appetite.
  • Diarrhoea: This can be either a symptom or a gastrointestinal disorder in itself. It may be accompanied by a risk of dehydration, fatigue, and loss of appetite.
A change in diet, always recommended by a veterinarian, is crucial for managing these conditions and restoring the pet’s quality of life.

In summary, maintaining the intestinal barrier is vital for the digestive and overall health of dogs and cats. Identifying and addressing threats to this barrier is essential for preventing gastrointestinal problems and related conditions. Proper veterinary care and a balanced diet are important steps to keep this protective barrier in optimal condition.
