Ingredients

Hydrolyzed Enzymatically Collagen

Major component and structural basis of hyaline cartilage in joints, the primary tissue affected in joint degeneration processes. Collagen is known to maintain cartilage integrity and its function is to provide flexibility, elasticity, and support. Administration in hydrolyzed form allows for greater absorption, distribution, and accumulation in joint cartilage.

Hydrolyzed collagen is commonly used in supplementing patients with Osteoarthritis and other types of joint pain. Numerous studies have shown that daily treatment of arthritic dogs with collagen alone or in combination with glucosamine and chondroitin notably relieved pain associated with arthritis.

Calcium1,2

Mineral that contributes to the maintenance of bones under normal conditions.

Calcium and vitamin D are essential nutrients that play a key role in the development and health of the skeleton. Bone is the main calcium reservoir and its metabolism is complex and interconnected with that of vitamin D.

Vitamin D1,2

Nutrient that contributes to the normal absorption and utilization of calcium and phosphorus and contributes to the process of cell division.

Vitamin D plays a key role in bone remodeling and growth by activating osteoblasts and osteoclasts.

There are two forms of vitamin D, cholecalciferol or vitamin D3, synthesized in the skin of various mammals after sun exposure, and ergocalciferol or vitamin D2.

Dogs and cats, unlike other mammal species, are unable to synthesize vitamin D through skin exposure to sunlight.

An insufficient or unbalanced dietary intake of these nutrients can have multiple negative consequences for health.

Vitamin D deficiency can lead to hypocalcemia and hypophosphatemia and, consequently, can lead to bone diseases characterized by poor bone mineralization associated with rickets or osteomalacia.

Folic acid3

Nutrient within the B-group vitamins family, contributes to the process of cell division and helps reduce tiredness and fatigue.

Vitamin C4

Due to its antioxidant capacity, it contributes to the protection of cells against oxidative damage. Additionally, it contributes to the normal formation of collagen for the normal functioning of bones, cartilage, and joints.

Además, contribuye a la formación normal de colágeno para el funcionamiento normal de los huesos, cartílagos y articulaciones.

Healthy Growth in Puppies: The Importance of Bone Care

The rapid growth phase in puppies is crucial for their bone development.

Neglecting it can lead to problems such as:

Rickets: This condition develops when bones cannot mineralize properly due to deficiencies in essential minerals like calcium and phosphorus. As a result, bone growth is affected, which can lead to bone deformities, degenerative joint disease, and an increased risk of fractures.

Pain and Limitations: This not only affects the quality of life of the dog or cat but can also interfere with its ability to perform normal activities and enjoy its environment.

Incomplete Bone Development: Abnormal bone and cartilage growth in puppies can result in an underdeveloped or malformed bone structure. These abnormalities can have long-term implications for their health and overall well-being.

Increased Vulnerability to Injuries: Puppies with weak bones and cartilage are more susceptible to injuries, especially during intense physical activities or vigorous play. These injuries can have long-term consequences on their health and mobility.

In summary, proper bone care during the rapid growth phase in puppies is essential to ensure healthy development and prevent future problems. Consulting your trusted veterinarian is crucial for designing a diet and exercise plan tailored to the specific needs of your puppy.
